Golf Season Officially begins.

Platz and John Broz edge out the largest field in LAGA history
(44 teams) to win the 2004 Fall Classic 2-Person
Best Ball Tournament at Eagle Bend GC. The tournament may have
had a chilly shot-gun start, but as the day wore on and the sun
began to warm up the field, players showed their talents as they
posted some very good scores (see leaderboard).

of Golf Animations, in 3D form, are an aid to help
you visualize and understand how the Rules of Golf are applied
correctly. Narrated by longtime broadcaster Roger Twibell, a
total of 26 animations will be available that can be viewed repeatedly.

Alvamar Public
GC announces that it will be replacing the greens on the "public" side
and will close to public play beginning October 4, 2004. The
new greens will be more like the "private
side". There are also plans to upgrade the practice
facility as well.

The Lawrence Amateur Golf Association debuts it new
website. The new site at http://lawrencegolf.org has been put together
by LAGA member Steven Smith and will include several new features:
1. The member section will offer members the opportunity
to update their information online and look up other member
contact information.
2. Tournament information will be enhanced and
available online. You can download applications, check your assigned
tee time and check daily scoring from our new website.
3. Connect with GOLF! We are developing a golfer's
links page that will provide you with quick links to courses,
events, manufacturers, tournaments, GHIN, and more. Coming soon...
